These terms apply when you use the NakshVed app and this website. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use NakshVed. How we handle information is described in the privacy policy.

Entertainment and cultural guide

NakshVed provides astrological calculations and traditional interpretations for cultural, educational and entertainment purposes. Readings describe traditional themes to reflect on. They are not predictions of events, and they are not medical, legal, financial, relationship or other professional advice. Do not make health, money, legal or safety decisions based on the app, and do not delay seeking professional help because of anything it says.

Accuracy

Calculations follow published conventions (for example the Lahiri ayanamsa and the Vimshottari dasha system), and you can change some of these in the app's settings. Results depend on the birth details you enter, so check them. Traditions differ in method and interpretation, and different sources can give different answers. We work to keep the app correct but give no guarantee that results are complete, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

Who can use the app

The app is for adults. If you are under 18, use it with a parent or guardian.

Your use

• Enter only information you are entitled to use. When you add someone else's birth details, you are responsible for having their permission.
• Use the app for yourself and your family and friends. Do not copy, scrape or resell the content or the service, or send automated bulk requests to our server.
• Do not try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the app, the server or the admin systems, and do not remove or hide the app's notices.
• You are responsible for your device and for the profiles stored on it.

Content and ownership

The app, its design, texts, translations and calculations are ours or used under licence, and are protected by law. You may use them through the app for your personal, non-commercial use. Bhakti content (aartis, chalisas, mantras, stories and similar texts) is included with its source and licence noted in the app; its rights stay with their owners. Place data comes from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). The name “NakshVed” and its logo are ours.

The reports and charts you generate are for your personal use. You may share them with people you choose, but you may not present them as professional advice.

Advertising and updates

The app may show ads, including optional rewarded videos before certain features. If a video cannot be loaded the feature normally works without it. We may ask you to update the app, and a very old version may stop working until you do.

Paid features

The app is free to use today. If we introduce paid features, such as coins or an AI chat, their price, payment method, refund rules and any extra terms will be shown to you before you pay, and these terms will be updated first.

Availability

NakshVed needs an internet connection for most features and depends on our server and the networks in between. We may change, pause or stop any part of it, for example for maintenance, without notice, and we do not promise it will always be available.

Our responsibility

The app and website are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from relying on the app's content, from interruptions or errors, or from third-party services such as app stores and advertising networks. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law does not allow to be limited.

Ending

You can stop using NakshVed at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or misuses the service.

Changes

These terms may change as the app grows, for example when paid features are introduced. We will update this page and its date, and the new terms apply from then. If you keep using the app after a change you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
